Have a peanut butter sandwich before bed, and a smoothie between lunch and dinner.
You could also try adding a weight-gainer shake every day. Muscle Milk tastes really good, low in sugar, and high in protein. There are a lot of others too, just check out a GNC or Vitamin World.

| Fatal Bug in the Diet Journal - Posted by jack clark (1 Reply, Updated 07/16/2007 01:19:44) | | (Log in to post your reply) | jack clark | 04/26/2007 08:50:31 | Message: I'm running OS-X 10.4.9 on a MacBook. The Diet Journal lets me add a day, then add a meal, then add food to the meal. But as soon as I "Save" it in the "Diet Details" window, Open Fitness entirely quits and does not save anything I entered. Also, I've emailed Open Fitness support, but they have not responded--even with a question. Does everyone else have this problem? -Jack Clark, Idyllwild, CA

Same Mac OS etc. Too bad really. Looks like a nice piece of software otherwise. I am unlikely to purchase it after the trial period if this is not addressed and solved. Knowing you have the same problem makes me less inclined to try and find a workaround on my own.
If you solve this issue, please let me know.

I have just started working out on a home fitness center. I need to lose about
30 pounds but also I want to gain muscle mass and tone. So I need a diet/
supplement plan that will allow me to lose weight but also to "feed" the muscle
growth. Most of what I have read seems to be either for losing weight or
gaining muscle but not both. Any advice wold be greatly appreciated.

i just joined this network and saw your note. i'm a personal trainer with over 10 years' experience and a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from Penn State. i've just expanded my personal training business into a Fitness and Nutrition Counseling program. i consult with my folks via email, phone and in person. if you have any interest in seeing if what i have to offer will help you, send an email. i'm building my business and have flexible rates at this time.
Also, in direct regards to your blog, i can't encourage you enough to make sure you're getting plenty of Cardiovascular exercise. this will decrease your body fat so that the musculature that is present will be more apparent. Home gyms are great if you can keep yourself motivated and "push it" a little. make a commitment and DO IT!!! good luck- Holly
